Commercial fire doors in Braintree: how we work
Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits commercial fire doors in Braintree, Essex. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.
Braintree is about 24 miles from Southend-on-Sea; we cover both, along with Witham, Chelmsford and Maldon.
Regulations for commercial fire doors in Essex
Because Braintree is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Commercial fire doors prices in Braintree
Expect roughly £850–£1,500 per single doorset for commercial fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Braintree quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
