Our Braintree supply and fit service
Getting acoustic fire doors right in Braintree means choosing a certified doorset for each opening and fitting it exactly as tested. That's the whole service: survey, schedule, certified doorset, careful installation and the paperwork to prove it.
Whether your building is in central Braintree or on its edges towards Witham, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Fire door rules in Braintree
Fire doors in Braintree sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
