Getting timber fire doors fitted in Braintree
We fit timber fire doorsets in paint, laminate and veneer in Braintree and the rest of Essex. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Our Essex coverage includes Braintree and its neighbours Witham, Chelmsford and Maldon; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Regulations for timber fire doors in Essex
In Braintree, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
