Our service in Leighton Buzzard
In Leighton Buzzard we fit fire doors for freeholders, managing agents, landlords, businesses and homeowners. Each job starts with a free survey in LU7 and ends with a handover pack for your records.
Leighton Buzzard is about 11 miles from Luton; we cover both, along with Dunstable, Bletchley and Milton Keynes.
Which rules apply in Leighton Buzzard?
Because Leighton Buzzard is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Bedfordshire mixes Luton's dense housing and town-centre flats with Bedford's Victorian terraces, many now converted to flats and HMOs.

Questions about fire doors in Leighton Buzzard
Can you fit just one door in Leighton Buzzard?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Bedfordshire.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Leighton Buzzard?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Which rules do fire doors in Leighton Buzzard need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Is the survey in Leighton Buzzard free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
