In Leighton Buzzard, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Common questions in Bedfordshire
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Leighton Buzzard?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Which rules do fire rated glazed screens in Leighton Buzzard need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
How quickly can you survey in Leighton Buzzard?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Leighton Buzzard visits with other work in Bedfordshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
