Acoustic fire doors in Preston: how we work
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Preston, we provide acoustic fire doorsets with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
We cover Preston and the rest of Lancashire, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Fire door rules in Preston
In Preston, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Cost of acoustic fire doors in Lancashire
Budget around £1,100 to £2,000 per single doorset for acoustic fire doors supplied and fitted in Preston, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
