Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Preston buildings
If your fire risk assessment in Preston has flagged doors to replace, we can schedule, quote and fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights to match its recommendations. Surveys in PR1 are free and quotes are fixed and itemised.
We cover Preston and the rest of Lancashire, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Lancashire
Because Preston is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of fire rated glazed screens in Lancashire
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Preston, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
