Timber fire doors in Forth Valley: how we work
Our Forth Valley service covers timber fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Stirling, Falkirk and Alloa.
Regulations for timber fire doors in Forth Valley
In Forth Valley the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
Cost of timber fire doors in Forth Valley
Expect roughly £750–£1,600 per single doorset for timber fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Forth Valley quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Questions about timber fire doors in Forth Valley
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover the whole of Forth Valley?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit timber fire doors across Forth Valley, including Stirling, Falkirk and Alloa.
Which rules apply in Forth Valley?
Doors are specified to the Scottish Building Standards Technical Handbooks and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can a timber fire door be trimmed on site?
Only within the limits the manufacturer's evidence allows, usually a few millimetres. We prefer made-to-measure doorsets so no trimming is needed.
