School & Healthcare Fire Doors for Essex buildings
Throughout Essex, including Southend-on-Sea, Basildon and Colchester, we survey, quote and fit fire doors for schools, surgeries and care homes as complete certified doorsets, with the manufacturer's certificate reference on every quote.
Regulations for school fire doors in Essex
New and replacement fire doors in Essex are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
School fire doors prices in Essex
Our guide price for school fire doors in Essex is £1,100 to £2,400 per doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
