Security fire doors in Taunton: how we work
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Taunton, we provide fire and security rated doorsets with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
Taunton is about 40 miles from Bath; we cover both, along with Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea and Tiverton.
What the law says in Taunton
Because Taunton is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of security fire doors in Somerset
Expect roughly £1,600–£3,500 per single doorset for security fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Taunton quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
