Security Fire Doors for Northamptonshire buildings
Our Northamptonshire service covers security fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Northampton, Corby and Kettering.
Regulations for security fire doors in Northamptonshire
Because Northamptonshire is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of security fire doors in Northamptonshire
Budget around £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset for security fire doors supplied and fitted in Northamptonshire, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Questions about security fire doors in Northamptonshire
Which rules apply in Northamptonshire?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover the whole of Northamptonshire?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit security fire doors across Northamptonshire, including Northampton, Corby and Kettering.
Steel or timber?
Both are available; steel suits the higher LPS 1175 grades.
