Security fire doors in Eltham: how we work
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Eltham, we provide fire and security rated doorsets with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
Whether your building is in central Eltham or on its edges towards Blackheath, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Fire door rules in Eltham
In Eltham, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Cost of security fire doors in Greater London
Our guide price for security fire doors in Eltham is £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Questions about security fire doors in Eltham
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Eltham.
Is the survey in Eltham free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Eltham?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can any fire door be made secure?
Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
