Our Macclesfield supply and fit service
We cover Macclesfield and nearby Wilmslow for security fire doors, with surveys booked around your building's access and occupancy. Each door is quoted individually, so you can see what every opening costs and why.
Macclesfield is about 21 miles from Warrington; we cover both, along with Wilmslow, Congleton and Cheadle Hulme.
Fire door rules in Macclesfield
Fire doors in Macclesfield sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Security fire doors prices in Macclesfield
Guide prices for security fire doors in Macclesfield run from about £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
