Getting flat entrance fire doors fitted in Battersea
We fit FD30S flat entrance doors for blocks of flats in Battersea and the rest of Greater London. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Whether your building is in central Battersea or on its edges towards Chelsea, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
What the law says in Battersea
Because Battersea is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Guide prices in Battersea
Guide prices for flat entrance fire doors in Battersea run from about £1,250 to £2,300 per door, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
Typical uses in Battersea
Wherever they are in Battersea, flat entrance fire doors are most often specified for converted buildings with shared stairs and blocks of flats.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
