Fire rated glazed screens in Longton

Our Longton supply and fit service

We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Longton and the rest of Staffordshire. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.

Longton is about 2 miles from Stoke-on-Trent; we cover both, along with Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Kidsgrove.

What the law says in Longton

Because Longton is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Longton, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.

Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
