Common questions in Hertfordshire
What does a Letchworth Garden City quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Letchworth Garden City?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Letchworth Garden City?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
