Fire door rules in Glenrothes
In Glenrothes the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Glenrothes?
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Glenrothes quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Do you cover Glenrothes?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Glenrothes and the rest of Fife, including KY7 and nearby Kirkcaldy.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Glenrothes?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Glenrothes?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Steel or timber screens?
Both are available. Timber matches timber doorsets; steel suits slim sightlines and higher ratings.
