Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Maldon buildings
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Maldon and the rest of Essex. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Whether your building is in central Maldon or on its edges towards Witham, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Which rules apply in Maldon?
Because Maldon is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Guide prices in Maldon
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Maldon quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
