Getting fire rated glazed screens fitted in Wickford
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Wickford and the rest of Essex. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Wickford is about 10 miles from Southend-on-Sea; we cover both, along with Pitsea, Rayleigh and Basildon.
What the law says in Wickford
Because Wickford is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Guide prices in Wickford
Our guide price for fire rated glazed screens in Wickford is £1,400 to £4,500 per screen including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
