Common questions in County Down
Which rules apply in County Down?
Doors are specified to Technical Booklet E (Northern Ireland) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Can screens be very large?
Size limits depend on the screen system's evidence. Larger screens may need intermediate mullions or transoms.
