Getting fire exit doors fitted in South Glamorgan
Across South Glamorgan we handle fire exit doors for single doors and whole-building programmes alike — survey, fixed quote, certified doorsets and careful installation.
Fire door rules in South Glamorgan
In South Glamorgan the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.

Questions about fire exit doors in South Glamorgan
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
How quickly can you survey in South Glamorgan?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in South Glamorgan. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Can a fire exit door be locked?
Not in a way that prevents instant exit without a key while the building is occupied. Panic and emergency exit hardware achieves security and escape together.
