Fire exit doors in Braintree

Certified fire exit doors for Braintree

Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits fire exit doors in Braintree, Essex. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.

Where possible we combine Braintree surveys with other visits in Essex, such as Witham and Chelmsford, which helps keep survey dates flexible.

Fire door rules in Braintree

Because Braintree is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

What do fire exit doors cost in Braintree?

Guide prices for fire exit doors in Braintree run from about £1,200 to £2,200 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.

Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Common questions in Essex

Do you remove the old doors?

Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Braintree.

How quickly can you survey in Braintree?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Braintree visits with other work in Essex. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Braintree?

Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.

Can a fire exit door be locked?

Not in a way that prevents instant exit without a key while the building is occupied. Panic and emergency exit hardware achieves security and escape together.
