Our Galashiels supply and fit service
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Galashiels, we provide fire door supply and fit with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
Whether your building is in central Galashiels or on its edges towards Hawick, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Regulations for fire door installation in Scottish Borders
Scotland has its own system: new and replacement fire doors in Galashiels are designed to the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the Technical Handbooks (Section 2, Fire). For non-domestic premises, the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 place duties on whoever controls the building.
Guide prices in Galashiels
Expect roughly £750–£1,150 per FD30 doorset for fire door installation, fitted, ex VAT. Your Galashiels quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.

Fire door installation in Galashiels: questions
Is the survey in Galashiels free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
How quickly can you survey in Galashiels?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Galashiels visits with other work in Scottish Borders. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Galashiels?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Are your installers certificated?
Where a doorset's certification requires a third-party certificated installer, we confirm the installer's scheme and certificate number in writing before work is booked.
