Fire door rules in Lanarkshire
In Lanarkshire the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
Cost of FD60 fire doors in Lanarkshire
Our guide for FD60 fire doors is £1,050–£1,650 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Lanarkshire are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.

Your questions answered
How quickly can you survey in Lanarkshire?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Lanarkshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover the whole of Lanarkshire?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit FD60 fire doors across Lanarkshire, including East Kilbride, Hamilton and Cumbernauld.
Do FD60 doors need different closers?
Often a stronger closer, sized to the heavier leaf, still keeping opening forces within Approved Document M limits where accessibility applies.
