FD30S fire doors in Macclesfield: how we work
Need FD30S fire doors in Macclesfield? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Cheshire, starting with a free measure survey in and around SK11. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
We cover SK11 and the surrounding area, including Wilmslow. Tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Fire door rules in Macclesfield
Because Macclesfield is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do FD30S fire doors cost in Macclesfield?
Expect roughly £800–£1,250 per single doorset for FD30S fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Macclesfield quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Your questions answered
Is the survey in Macclesfield free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Macclesfield?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Macclesfield?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Is a threshold seal needed?
It depends on the doorset's test evidence. Some FD30S doorsets need a drop-down or threshold seal; others control smoke with a set threshold gap.
