FD30 fire doors in Thamesmead | Supplied & Fitted

Getting FD30 fire doors fitted in Thamesmead

We fit FD30 doorsets for flats, offices, HMOs and corridors in Thamesmead and the rest of Greater London. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.

Whether your building is in central Thamesmead or on its edges towards Barking, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.

What the law says in Thamesmead

In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.

Questions about FD30 fire doors in Thamesmead

Which rules do FD30 fire doors in Thamesmead need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Is the survey in Thamesmead free?

Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.

Can you fit just one door in Thamesmead?

Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Greater London.

Is FD30 the same as E30?

Broadly, yes. FD30 comes from the British test (BS 476-22); E30 is the European classification from BS EN 1634-1. Both mean 30 minutes of integrity. EI30 adds insulation, which some locations and glazed doors need.
