Regulations for double fire doors in Northamptonshire
Fire doors in Northampton sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Double fire doors prices in Northampton
Budget around £1,600 to £3,400 per pair for double fire doors supplied and fitted in Northampton, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Your questions answered
How quickly can you survey in Northampton?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Northampton visits with other work in Northamptonshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Northampton?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Can you fit just one door in Northampton?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Northamptonshire.
Why does my double fire door not close properly?
Usually the door selector is missing or out of adjustment, or the leaves have dropped. Pairs need the inactive leaf to close first.
