Regulations for FD30 fire doors in Northamptonshire
Fire doors in Northampton sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Northamptonshire has a large logistics and warehouse sector, alongside Northampton's town-centre flats and growing new towns.

Questions about fire doors in Northampton
Can you fit just one door in Northampton?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Northamptonshire.
Do you cover Northampton?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire doors throughout Northampton and the rest of Northamptonshire, including NN1 and nearby Wellingborough.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Northampton?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
How quickly can you survey in Northampton?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Northampton visits with other work in Northamptonshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
