Our Wiltshire supply and fit service
Our Wiltshire service covers communal fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Swindon, Salisbury and Trowbridge.
Which rules apply in Wiltshire?
In Wiltshire, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Cost of communal fire doors in Wiltshire
Our guide price for communal fire doors in Wiltshire is £1,600 to £3,200 per pair including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.
Where communal fire doors are needed

Common questions in Wiltshire
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset.
Should communal doors be glazed?
Doors across corridors usually need vision panels so people can see who is on the other side. The glass must be tested in that doorset.
