Fire doors in Weymouth
Fire Rated Doors covers Weymouth and the surrounding Dorset area with complete certified doorsets: FD30 and FD30S for flats and corridors, FD60 for compartment walls, steel doors for plant and exits.
Where possible we combine Weymouth surveys with other visits in Dorset, such as Poole and Yeovil, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Fire door rules in Weymouth
New and replacement fire doors in Weymouth are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Dorset's coastal towns have many converted houses, holiday flats and care homes, especially around Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.
