What the law says in Weymouth
In Weymouth, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do acoustic fire doors cost in Weymouth?
Our guide for acoustic fire doors is £1,100–£2,000 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Weymouth are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.

Acoustic fire doors in Weymouth: questions
Can you work around tenants or staff in Weymouth?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Weymouth?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Weymouth.
Do acoustic seals affect the fire rating?
They can if untested. We only use seals covered by the doorset's fire evidence.
