Timber fire doors in Torquay: how we work
We fit timber fire doorsets in paint, laminate and veneer in Torquay and the rest of Devon. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Our Devon coverage includes Torquay and its neighbours Paignton, Newton Abbot and Exmouth; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Which rules apply in Torquay?
Because Torquay is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Timber fire doors prices in Torquay
Our guide price for timber fire doors in Torquay is £750 to £1,600 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
