For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Portishead, we provide fire and security rated doorsets with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.

We cover BS20 and the surrounding area, including Nailsea. Tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.

Which rules apply in Portishead?

In Portishead, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.

Questions about security fire doors in Portishead

How quickly can you survey in Portishead?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Portishead visits with other work in Somerset. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Which rules do security fire doors in Portishead need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

Do you remove the old doors?

Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Portishead.

Can any fire door be made secure?

Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
