Our North Yorkshire coverage includes Selby and its neighbours Goole, Pontefract and York; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.

What the law says in Selby

Fire doors in Selby sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.

Cost of security fire doors in North Yorkshire

Guide prices for security fire doors in Selby run from about £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.

Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
