Security fire doors in Ramsgate

Security Fire Doors for Ramsgate buildings

Need security fire doors in Ramsgate? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Kent, starting with a free measure survey in and around CT11. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.

Whether your building is in central Ramsgate or on its edges towards Broadstairs, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.

Which rules apply in Ramsgate?

Because Ramsgate is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

What do security fire doors cost in Ramsgate?

Budget around £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset for security fire doors supplied and fitted in Ramsgate, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.

The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Common questions in Kent

Which rules do security fire doors in Ramsgate need to meet?

They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.

How quickly can you survey in Ramsgate?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Ramsgate visits with other work in Kent. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Can you work around tenants or staff in Ramsgate?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Can any fire door be made secure?

Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
