Our Dorset supply and fit service
We supply and fit security fire doors across Dorset, including Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
Regulations for security fire doors in Dorset
Because Dorset is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do security fire doors cost in Dorset?
Guide prices for security fire doors in Dorset run from about £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
Where security fire doors are needed
Dorset's coastal towns have many converted houses, holiday flats and care homes, especially around Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

Common questions in Dorset
Which rules apply in Dorset?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Can any fire door be made secure?
Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
