Fire rated glazed screens in Castleford: how we work
Need fire rated glazed screens in Castleford? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across West Yorkshire, starting with a free measure survey in and around WF10. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Castleford is about 9 miles from Leeds; we cover both, along with Pontefract, Lofthouse and Wakefield.
Which rules apply in Castleford?
Because Castleford is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

Our guide for fire rated glazed screens is £1,400–£4,500 per screen fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Castleford are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
If your fire risk assessment lists specific doors, send it with your enquiry and we'll price exactly those openings.

Your questions answered
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Castleford?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
How quickly can you survey in Castleford?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Castleford visits with other work in West Yorkshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
What does a Castleford quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
