Fire rated glazed screens in Gosforth: how we work
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Gosforth and the rest of Tyne and Wear. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Our Tyne and Wear coverage includes Gosforth and its neighbours Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and Wallsend; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Tyne and Wear
In Gosforth, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Guide prices in Gosforth
Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Gosforth run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
