Getting fire rated glazed screens fitted in Barry
Looking for fire rated glazed screens in Barry? Our supply and fit service covers CF62 and the surrounding area, including Penarth and Cardiff. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
Barry is about 7 miles from Cardiff. Wherever your building is in CF62, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Fire door rules in Barry
In Barry the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
Cost of fire rated glazed screens in South Glamorgan
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Barry quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
