We cover Newtown and the rest of Powys, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Fire door rules in Newtown
Wales issues its own version of Approved Document B, so new and replacement fire doors in Newtown are specified against the Welsh guidance. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, covering workplaces and the common parts of multi-occupied residential buildings, including flat entrance doors.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Newtown?
Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Newtown run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Newtown
Can you work around tenants or staff in Newtown?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Newtown.
How quickly can you survey in Newtown?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Newtown visits with other work in Powys. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Steel or timber screens?
Both are available. Timber matches timber doorsets; steel suits slim sightlines and higher ratings.
