Fire rated glazed screens in Fleetwood: how we work
Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits fire rated glazed screens in Fleetwood, Lancashire. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.
Fleetwood is about 17 miles from Preston. Wherever your building is in FY7, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Lancashire
Because Fleetwood is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Guide prices in Fleetwood
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Fleetwood, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
If your fire risk assessment lists specific doors, send it with your enquiry and we'll price exactly those openings.

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Fleetwood
Can you work around tenants or staff in Fleetwood?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Fleetwood?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Is the survey in Fleetwood free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
