Which rules apply in Manchester?
In Manchester, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Manchester?
Our guide for fire rated glazed screens is £1,400–£4,500 per screen fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Manchester are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
