Our Stretford supply and fit service
If your fire risk assessment in Stretford has flagged doors to replace, we can schedule, quote and fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights to match its recommendations. Surveys in M32 are free and quotes are fixed and itemised.
Stretford is about 4 miles from Manchester; we cover both, along with Old Trafford, Urmston and Sale.
Which rules apply in Stretford?
In Stretford, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Stretford?
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Stretford, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Stretford
Is the survey in Stretford free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Stretford?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Stretford?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can screens be very large?
Size limits depend on the screen system's evidence. Larger screens may need intermediate mullions or transoms.
