Certified fire rated glazed screens for Kingswood
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Kingswood and the rest of Gloucestershire. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Kingswood is about 30 miles from Gloucester; we cover both, along with Mangotsfield, Bristol and Yate.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Gloucestershire
Because Kingswood is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Guide prices in Kingswood

Fire rated glazed screens in Kingswood: questions
Do you cover Kingswood?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Kingswood and the rest of Gloucestershire, including BS15 and nearby Mangotsfield.
Can you fit just one door in Kingswood?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Gloucestershire.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Kingswood?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
