Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Dundee & Angus buildings
Our Dundee & Angus service covers fire rated glazed screens for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Dundee and Arbroath.
Which rules apply in Dundee & Angus?
In Dundee & Angus the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Dundee & Angus
Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Dundee & Angus run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.

Common questions in Dundee & Angus
Which rules apply in Dundee & Angus?
Doors are specified to the Scottish Building Standards Technical Handbooks and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Steel or timber screens?
Both are available. Timber matches timber doorsets; steel suits slim sightlines and higher ratings.
