FD30S Smoke Control Doorsets for Dundee & Angus buildings
Across Dundee & Angus we handle FD30S fire doors for single doors and whole-building programmes alike — survey, fixed quote, certified doorsets and careful installation.
Which rules apply in Dundee & Angus?
Scotland has its own system: new and replacement fire doors in Dundee & Angus are designed to the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the Technical Handbooks (Section 2, Fire). For non-domestic premises, the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 place duties on whoever controls the building.

Questions about FD30S fire doors in Dundee & Angus
Which rules apply in Dundee & Angus?
Doors are specified to the Scottish Building Standards Technical Handbooks and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Do smoke seals stop the door closing?
They shouldn't. A properly hung FD30S door closes and latches under its closer. If seals are crushed or the door binds, it needs adjusting — a door that fails to latch is a failed fire door.
