Fire rated glazed screens in Peterlee: how we work
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Peterlee and the rest of County Durham. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Peterlee is about 19 miles from Darlington. Wherever your building is in SR8, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in County Durham
Because Peterlee is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
