Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Truro buildings
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Truro and the rest of Cornwall. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
We cover Truro and the rest of Cornwall, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Fire door rules in Truro
Because Truro is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Truro
Our guide for fire rated glazed screens is £1,400–£4,500 per screen fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Truro are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
Where fire rated glazed screens are needed
Wherever they are in Truro, fire rated glazed screens are most often specified for reception and lobby screens and stair enclosure screens.
