Our Buckinghamshire coverage includes Amersham and its neighbours Chesham, Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Buckinghamshire
Because Amersham is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

Our guide for fire rated glazed screens is £1,400–£4,500 per screen fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Amersham are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.

Your questions answered
Can you work around tenants or staff in Amersham?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover Amersham?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens throughout Amersham and the rest of Buckinghamshire, including HP7 and nearby Chesham.
Can you fit just one door in Amersham?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Buckinghamshire.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
