Fire Door Supply & Fit for Cardiff buildings
We fit fire door supply and fit in Cardiff and the rest of South Glamorgan. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Surveys in Cardiff are booked around your access needs, and we cover the wider South Glamorgan area too.
What the law says in Cardiff
In Cardiff the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
Fire door installation prices in Cardiff
Budget around £750 to £1,150 per FD30 doorset for fire door installation supplied and fitted in Cardiff, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Buildings that need fire door installation
Schools, care and healthcare estates and single doors to full-building programmes are among the most common settings for fire door installation, in Cardiff as elsewhere.
Cardiff's city-centre apartments, student housing and offices lead demand, with Barry and Penarth adding converted houses and care homes.
